12 – Steinloch

In der Vorbergzone wurden vielerorts Steine abgebaut für den Haus- oder Wegebau. Die Steinlochergasse ist ein historischer Hohlweg, der vermutlich an einem Steinbruch vorbeiführte.

In der „Beschreibung vom Stab und Bezirk des Fleckens Bühl 1598“ heißt es: „Der weyset zur rechten Handt umbhin auf den Weg, so aus dem Steinloch geht, dan alls denselbigen Weg durch das Steinloch für (führt) ufhin, bıs zu Danıel Ackhers Büne.“

Die Steinlochergasse wurde 1969 bei der Rebflurbereinigung so belassen, man hätte zu viel Material zum Auffüllen benötigt, und direkt dahinter begann die Gemarkung Bühl. Am Auslauf der Steinlochergass befand sich lange Zeit die Sandgrube vom „Gnaze Sepp“.

La Steinlochergasse est une ancienne ruelle en contrebas qui menait probablement à une carrière. Dans la « Description du personnel et du district de la ville de Bühl de 1598 », il est indiqué : « Le chemin part à droite en contournant le sentier qui sort de la carrière, puis continue sur ce même sentier à travers la carrière, jusqu’à la ferme de Daniel Ackher. » La Steinlochergasse a été laissée en l’état lors du remblayage des vignes en 1969, car son comblement aurait nécessité une trop grande quantité de matériaux. Le quartier de Bühl a donc commencé juste au-delà. Pendant longtemps, la sablière de « Gnaze Sepp » se trouvait au bout de la Steinlochergasse.

In the foothills, stones were quarried in many places for house and road construction. Steinlochergasse is a historic-sunken lane that likely led past a quarry. The “Description of the Staff and District of the Town of Bühl 1598” states: “The way leads to the right around the path that leads out of the Steinloch, then continues along the same path through the Steinloch, up to Daniel Ackher’s quarry.” Steinlochergasse was left as it was during the vineyard consolidation in 1969, as too much material would have been required for filling it in, and the Bühl district began directly beyond it. For a long time, the sandpit of “Gnaze Sepp” was located at the end of Steinlochergasse.
