14 – Immenstein

Die Immensteinstraße hat ihren Namen von dem „Ymenstein, der zwischen Bühel und mülbach auf der Straß staht“. So wird er im Jahre 1406 beschrieben. „Immen“ hat nichts mit Bienen zu tun, sondern „Imin“ war im 16. Jahrhundert ein Fruchtmaß: 1,5 Liter. Damals trug der Müllenbacher Stein die Inschrift „Immenstein der 3te“; mittlerweile ist nur der Schriftzug „Bühl“ noch zu erahnen.

Ein weiterer Immenstein befindet sich vor dem Rathaus in Bühl als Nachbildung. Dort steht eingemeißelt, dass Trajan Kaiser war (100 n.Chr.) und die Entfernung zur obergermanischen Provinzhauptstadt Mainz 120 Meilen betrug. Die Immensteine sind nahezu 2.000 Jahre alt.

À cette époque, la pierre de Müllenbach portait l’inscription « Immenstein III » ; aujourd’hui, seule l’inscription « Bühl » est encore visible. Une autre Immenstein, une réplique, se dresse devant l’hôtel de ville de Bühl. On y lit que Trajan était empereur (100 après J.-C.) et que la distance jusqu’à Mayence, capitale de la province germanique supérieure, était de 193 kilomètres. Les Immensteins ont près de 2 000 ans.
